3D SHELBY COBRA DEBUTS AT 2015 DETROIT AUTO SHOW
Want your very own classic sports car? Dream no more, because one day you might be able to download one. A 3D-printed Shelby Cobra debuts at the Detroit Auto Show, and this carbon-copy looks every bit as impressive as the real deal. The pseudo-Shelby was printed using 20% carbon-fiber reinforced materials and has a Class A surface finish. 500 of it’s 1,400 pounds of fighting weight, were printed in just 24 hours! So nice, that both President Obama and Vice President Biden checked it out and gave it a glowing endorsement. At least this fake Cobra has a high approval rating, but can 3D printed cars really be up the road for auto aficionados?
