Benedict Cumberbatch apologizes for 'colored actors' remark in U.S. interview.
The "12 Years a Slave" actor said he was an "idiot" and "devastated" where his choice of words during an interview with PBS Tavis Smiley. Cumberbatch told smiley "I think as far as colored actors go, it gets really difficult in the UK, and I think a lot of my friends have had more opportunities here [in the U.S.] than in the UK, and that's something that needs to change." His comments were criticized by some observers on social medias. Cumberbatch then apologize saying he did not mean to offend anyone , but give his opinion on something he thought was meant to be said by someone. We should all think before we say anything like that , but we also learn from our mistakes.
