Texas lawmakers want to keep troops at border

Governor Greg Abbott’s administration has only been in office a few weeks, and already we are seeing old plans change. Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick says Republican leaders now want the Texas National Guard to remain along the Mexico border indefinitely. Former governor Perry first deployed 1000 troops to the border last summer, as an influx of undocumented families from Central America came pouring across the border.
