Scientists discover black hole 12 billion times bigger than the sun

Researchers in China have found a massive black hole that is about 12 billion times the size of our sun.They also believe that it was formed 900 million years after the Big Bang. It would be awesome to see such a beast black hole up close.

Dogs shot, picture posted online by confessing and threatening neighbor

“Keep your damn dogs on your property.” That`s the Facebook message posted by a Union Valley volunteer fireman along with pictures of two dogs he allegedly shot and killed.Texas law allows farmers to use deadly force on animals if they are injuring or killing livestock or domesticated animals. Whether shooting the dogs was legal or not won't be resolved for a while.

Corpus Christi SWAT officers shot while trying to arrest a drug dealer

    Three SWAT members shot shot by a man by the name of Ray Rosas. Ray was just about to get a drug warrant but suddenly pulled out a gun and shot three cops. Luckily, the officers were not badly injured. The officers, Andrew Jordan, Steven Ruebelmann, and Steven Brown were all shot in either the leg, hand, or wrist. Later Ray Roses was still arrested but just made things worst in his terms. - George Sanchez

UK teens missing may be headed to Syria

UK police are on the search for three missing girls after being taken from their homes friday and are believed to be making their way to syria. Two girls at the age of 15 and the other 16 have taken a flight to istanbul and haven't been seen since tuesday. One has been named as Shamima Begum, 15, who may be traveling under the name of 17 year old Aklima Begum, and a second as Kadiza Sultana, 16. The third girl has not been named at the request of her family, police said. If they can be found while still in Turkey, there's a good chance they could still be brought safely home police say.

Lady Gaga engaged to Taylor Kinney?

Rumors all over have been flying , that Lady Gaga and her boyfriend , "Chicago Fire" actor Taylor Kinney have made it “official”. The talked became more serious when Sophia Bush , shared a picture of him in instagram wearing a ring on his finger. She hashtagged it #ThatsHisPersonalRing #NotForTheShow #EveryoneCalmDown. The Daily Star reported that Gaga and Kinney gathered friends and family for a small ceremony pledging their devotion to each other. Neither the singer nor the actor has commented on the reports.

Same-Sex Marriage law Banned

It’s still not a shock that Texas has not legalized same-sex marriage in the state but taking away someone's marriage license? Yup, that’s exactly what the Texas Supreme Court did when two Texas women got married in Travis County, Thursday. The two finally tied the knot thirty years later because of health reasons and because they both genuinely love each other. Their marriage license was banned and “not valid”. This still makes me really angry because how is someone elses marriage effecting the world? These two women are in love, does it really matter who they love? No because they aren’t hurting anyone. They’re literally giving another human this great feeling. That’s what we all are HUMAN.

Walmart to give 500,000 workers a raise

Walmart will pay current employees at least $10 an hour within the next year, the company announced Thursday.The nation’s largest private sector employer said 500,000 full-time and part-time associates at Walmart U.S. stores and Sam’s Clubs will receive pay raises in the first half of the current fiscal year that will take them to at least $9 an hour, which will be $1.75 an hour above the current federal minimum wage.By Feb. 1 of next year, their pay will rise to at least $10 an hour.

   Suspect of Road Rage Shooting

Tammy Meyers and Erich Nowsch were neighbors. Their homes are walking distance from each other and from a park. At the park she told a young man to act like an adult because he was being childish. On Thursday, Nowsch was arrested, accused of killing Meyers in what has been described as a road rage incident that ended a week ago with a shooting in front of Meyers' home. He is a 19 year old boy who will be facing 3 felony charges of murder, attempted murder and unlawful discharge of a gun from a vehicle.

   An 11-year-old girl in Ohio has been charged with murder after beating a 2-month-old baby to death. The mother was sleeping when this happened. The purpose for this is still unknown. With all this technology people don’t know the danger that they are causing to people, like Amber,age 16, committed suicide because of cyber bullying. The last thing that she posted on social media was “if i died tonight would anyone cry?”A medical director said that kids during vacations feel more separated from friends and less connected with family. I believe that people  do these kind of things because they don’t fit in with the crowd or family. Like the medical director stated, they feel less connected with the world.-emily

Man with gun gets hit by a car

    Two men trying to escape the police for stealing two cars suddenly stop and and get out the car. The two men each run into running traffic and aim their guns out at people in their cars. It looks as though the men were trying to steal two more cars to hide from the police. One man keeps running against the traffic while the other man gets slammed into by a car but was still uninjured. The two men were then caught and charged with attempted murder and car jacking. - George Sanchez

Manchester United earned a crucial three points in the race for the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night, as they defeated Burnley 3-1 at Old Trafford.

The victory, and Southampton's draw at home to West Ham United, allowed the Red Devils to vault into third place in the English Premier League table.

Louis van Gaal's side are now one point ahead of Saints and two ahead of Arsenal in the congested battle for third and fourth place.

      $15 MILLION TO COACH KINGS

       

George Karl has reached agreement on a four-year contract worth almost $15 million to become coach of the Sacramento Kings.

The deal will include a $1.5 million buyout provision on the $5 million owed Karl in the final year of the contract.

Karl will earn $1.25 million for the rest of the 2014-15 season, which will begin with his Kings debut after the All-Star break on Feb. 20 against Golden State.

NBA coach, including stops with Cleveland, Golden State, Seattle, Milwaukee and Denver. His immediate challenge will be to stop the freefalling Kings, who have lost 14 of 16 games to drop to 18-34.

Texas lawmakers want to keep troops at border

Governor Greg Abbott’s administration has only been in office a few weeks, and already we are seeing old plans change. Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick says Republican leaders now want the Texas National Guard to remain along the Mexico border indefinitely. Former governor Perry first deployed 1000 troops to the border last summer, as an influx of undocumented families from Central America came pouring across the border.

Another week, another snowstorm, another mess.This is the continuing story of the winter of 2015.Boston is in the cross hairs again, but winter storm warnings are in place across large portions of the Northeast, including Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.The National Weather Service forecasts 12 to 16 inches of snow by the time the storm ends Tuesday. Prayers go out there to those with no where to stay, no home to be warm inside of.

Thirty-seven states have finally legalized gay marriage. Now we are just waiting for the remaining states to get their act together and get with this century. It doesn’t matter who you marry or are with, what matters is if you’re happy. That’s all that matters, no one should be denied a right to fall in love. Love does not come in any shapes or sizes or even gender. It’s not wrong that my aunts want to spend the rest of their lives together. They love each other, is love bad? How is loving an individual of the same sex wrong? Love is love. Love is a beautiful thing. I honestly support gay marriage, i mean it’s not that different from heterosexual marriage.

60 abandoned bodies

  60 bodies have been found in an abandoned crematorium near the seaside resort of Acapulco. They say the building has been abandoned for over a year. Some think that this is connected to the disappearance of the 43 students in Mexico, but there is no evidence to prove this. Many people have started to protest because they want to know the truth.  3 Mondays, 3 Straight Snow Storms           

      Another week with strong winds and strong storms destroying the North. Boston is caught up into it again. Warnings are set all over big parts of the area in Northeast, including Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday due to the power and damage the storm is causing. By Tuesday there should be about 12-16 inches of snow covering the ground. In New York it will be about 8-14 inches of snow. Someone said "These storms that we're getting are unprecedented," he said. "We've never seen this type of snow in the city of Boston at any other time in the history of our city." Its only been 14 days and they have received massive inches of snow, highest 25 inches.

Unexpected Snow Storm

    In Boston there has been a huge snowstorm for about 3 days. The snow has piled up 5 feet and is still getting bigger. In some cases the snow is covering cars and even street signs. This is also a danger hazard because people can’t see the street signs in case of a fire the fire hydrants are covered with snow too. Hopefully the snow will start to melt to prevent these hazards and Boston won’t be burried in snow. - George Sanchez   

New Mexico man sues lottery over ticket ‘misprint’

Imagine how you’d feel if you just won half a million dollars, only for it to be snatched away from you on some ‘technicality.’ That’s what a Roswell, New Mexico man says happened to him. John Wines bought a scratch-off lottery ticket last December. Wines needed to match the winning numbers to any of his numbers, and Wines thought he did–to the tune of $500,000.But the New Mexico Lottery is refusing to pay, saying the ticket had a ‘misprint.’“You get so high when you are thinking you are winning that kind of money, and then of course you get so low when you find out that the lottery won’t make good on their own terms,” said Wines’ attorney, Sam Bregman.Bregman says the ticket is a winner, and he wants to prove it in court.

Magna Carta scrapbook found worth millions

Four days after the magna cartas were united for the first time in 800 years in the british library in london, the document has been discovered by chance in a medieval coastal town in England. After looking at the scrapbook Bateson found the Forest Charter, a document issued by King Henry III in 1217. He says “there is no doubt that this is a version of the Magna Carta, or "The Great Charter," that was published in 1300 under the reign of King Edward I. The original document was issued by England's King John in 1215.”

A smiling, laughing Kanye West was considered a mythical creature occasionally talked about but never seen.Obviously, Kanye didn't expect Beck to win album of the year and neither did Beck himself. On Sunday night, though, the usually grim-faced rapper gave a soulful performance of "Only One". Then Kanye jokingly stole the show by running on stage when Beck won album of the year for "Morning Phase." On the other hand maybe he wasn’t joking at all.
